Access is Denied to ServiceManagerAccess

Version : 1.1.3.0
Error : Failed to connect to the service manager -- Access is denied
Reason : ServiceManagerAccess
Install : UltraVNC-102-Setup.exe /no restart /silent /loadinf=\\10.10.100.11\fileserver\Software_Deployment\ultravnc\ultravnc.txt /log
Windows : Microsoft Windows 7 Professional (6.1.7600.0)
Memory : 4 GB (3 GB free)
I am able to deploy to half of the machines, rest is showing that error

Failed to connect to the service manager
...
------- INNER EXCEPTION -------
Access is denied (code 5)

    This report just came into our support queue. Two things:

    1) There shouldn't be a space between No and Restart on the Install line.

    2) The error is Access Is Denied. This means the PDQ Deploy service was unable to be created on the target system. Error Code 5 (Access Is Denied) means the account running PDQ Deploy (the admin's account) doesn't have the appropriate rights to create or otherwise manage a windows service.

    Verify that the account you are using to run PDQ Deploy (probably your own windows logon) has Administrative rights on all target computers.

    Hello I have got similar problem when I am trying to deploy to Windows 7 machines. I have enable file sharing and disabled firewall. I am able to access admin$ remotely. Nevertheless I am not able to deploy. The user name and password is correct because I am deploying to Windows Vista machines. Targeted machines are Lenovos ThinkCentre with pre installed version of Windows 7 Professional. 

    Failed to connect to the service manager.

    When I am running Remote Admin Repair I am getting.

    Connect to IPC$ share

    Multiple Connection to the server or shared recourse  by the same user, using more than one user name is not allowed dismount all connections and try again.

    and

    Create service access denied.

    I have disconnected all network drives and still have the same problem.

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Chris,

    There are a couple of things to try:

    1)  Run PDQ Deploy elevated. There do appear to be some environments which require elevation and we will be requiring elevation in future versions to avoid those issues. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/11841-run-administrator.html

    2)  Run the Remote Admin Repair utility on one of the computers having the problem. When running on the computer it will have more information to diagnose the problem.

    Thanks for the quick response.

    I have checked first method and it fixed the problem.

    When deploying to windows 7 machines I have to be logged in to the admin account.

    Thanks again for fantastic piece of software. It will make my life so much easier.
