Computer cannot be found


The computer cannot be found in DNS. 

Possible Causes

Name resolution failed for the computer when retrieving its fully qualified domain name (FQDN) from DNS.  This may be caused by a problem in DNS or in the local DNS Client.

Recommended Fix

Verify that the computer is in DNS and try again.

    I've found doing a "IPCONFIG /flushdns" works pretty well for this with computers that have been offline for some time.

    what command would you put in at the PDQ server to do this on a remote computer?

    If you are running PDQ Inventory you would use the Remote Command feature. (Tools > Remote Command).



    If you want to use PDQ Deploy make sure to use a Command step.
